Fuelling Trucks with LNG/CNG along the Core Network

PitPoint.LNG has opened an LNG-station at the new A1 business park in Deventer, the Netherlands.

EXCELLENT LOCATION

This new LNG-station is operational since February 2021 and open for business 24/7. Located along the highway A1, this station is a valuable location for road transportation in the Netherlands and cross-border transport heading to Germany (Core Network “North Sea <-> Baltic). Since the opening, we have also had German customers as well as cross-border transport heading to Germany. Well situated at the A1business park in Deventer, just 500 metres of the A1 motorway, via exit 24.

FACILITIES

Equipped with two LNG-pumps, it is possible to fill up two trucks at the same time. And, the most recent LNG innovations are included: extra cold LNG especially for Volvo trucks and a digital display with LNG filling instructions in 11 different languages. The LNG station forms part of the new TOTAL multiple-energy station, located next to a secured truck parking lot.

MORE AND MORE TRANSPORT COMPANIES ARE SWITCHING TO LNG

An increasing number of Dutch transport companies are making the switch from diesel to LNG. With cleaner combustion and reduced CO2 emissions, LNG is today the best alternative fuel for heavy road transport. In addition to the environmental benefits, transport companies driving in Germany also benefit from financial advantages: trucks driving on LNG in Germany are free of toll until 31 December 2023. That is a price difference of 18.7 cents per kilometer.
